The Everett Silvertips 2014-15 season has been announced. The home opener at the Comcast Arena at Everett will be played on Friday, October 3 against last year’s regular season champions, the Kelowna Rockets.

This season, 27 of Everett’s 36 home dates will be played on weekends, including 13 Friday nights, 11 Saturdays and three Sundays. The Silvertips’ two longest homestands each feature five consecutive games at the Comcast Arena at Everett, one of which runs from Thanksgiving week into December with the other coming in February.

Along with the schedule, the ‘Tips have announced a special presale on six-game packs and group bookings for the upcoming season before they go on sale to the general public on July 8. Game selection forms for mini-game package buyers will be available in late July. Single-game tickets for opening weekend will be on sale August 8, with individual tickets for all other home games on sale August 28.

The Silvertips sixth annual “Pink the Rink” breast cancer fundraiser will take place on October 25, during one of five home games against cross-town rival Seattle Thunderbirds. A matchup against the defending WHL and Memorial Cup champions, the Edmonton Oil Kings, is set for November 1.

Prior to the regular season, the Silvertips will host the annual Holiday Inn Preseason Classic tournament at the Comcast Arena at Everett August 29 – 31. The following weekend, the ‘Tips continue their exhibition docket on the road with a pair of games in the Tri-City Americans’ annual preseason tournament at the Toyota Center. To close out the preseason schedule, the Silvertips will face the Seattle Thunderbirds at home on September 12 and then travel to ShoWare Center in Kent for the final preseason game on September 13.
